GOOD MORNING EVERYONE

I am happy to see no nasty comments on my page.  I would rather have none .  If any one had seen what was written you would understand why I left the note to them, below.  Google has pretty good protection for us I do believe.

It is very cold here compared to what it has been.  It is 8 above zero and supposed to drop all day.  These bones feel the cold more each year, but one good thing if I feel cold I know I am still alive and kicking and that is a good thing, at least for me and Spunky and Joe.    We get our temperatures from the airport, and Joe always says “ it must be colder out there”, my pat answer  is yes it is cause when My first husband and I was still married  and childless that was where we lived and it was colder out there and cooler in the summer since there is not as much concrete.  It is more of a country setting or was.

They turned the base into low income housing after they closed the air base. What a blessing that was.  Being newly weds and him going to the university to get his degree in teaching and me expecting my first child, it was a real gift. That was long ago.

 

This is for one sick minded individual that needs serious help

This is to the person who has tried without success to comment on my blog .  I do not want you here and if you have checked, you have not made it on my blog.  Go play on someone else’s blog which I am sure you have tried and succeeded.  I have persons who are truly my blogger friends and for sure, you are not one of them.  I am not even angry with you.  I just feel sad that you can not see what a fool you are making of  yourself.

Just an explanation

I am just going to try to explain something about my entry I made on here yesterday.  I am not knocking peoples right to protest  with arguments that and come up with what they believe politically.  What I object to is the radical way they are doing it.  I do not think that race of a person and especially the president of the USA should not have to see signs and cutouts of him colored black and made up as Hitler.  If a person thinks that he is not doing a good job then express it in a more civil way. Pres. Obama is an extremely intelligent man No matter if he is black or white for green or yellow if a person wants to object to his methods there is a better way to show your unhappiness on how he is running this country or not and I believe that if you like living in  this country express your unhappiness to the best of your ability but do not make a complete ass of yourself by doing stupid things .  My personal opinion of Palin.  (I can not stomach her) however I would never go out and make horrible caricatures of her  or her child that was born with down’s syndrome.  650.00 dollars for a ticket into their  rally in Nashville?  And they object to Obamas foolish spending!!!!

So now I wish to say that I love hearing from anyone from India, France, or any other foreign country to say to all of my readers from Germany also,  This was never meant as anything against you.  Jay you are so  welcome to come into my blog any time. Joo, I love to hear from her.  Most are gifted photographers and I love to go into your site and view all the pictures and leave a comment.  The message I wrote yesterday was meant for the Tea Party groups, most of them americans.

I was making a comment

I was commenting on Jacks blog and in response to something  someone else said about you rolled into a station and said to the attendant “ fill her up” and you know that just reliving that small phrase made me realize I may hurt a lot but I am glad I have not missed my 80 years of life.  Some things were priceless, like having a filling station attendant.  I still don’t like to pump my own gas.  I miss not being able to go  in and get and ice cream cone.  So many of the simple things in life are gone.  Oh yes, they have make cars so sophisticated that look where Toyota is now.  Is that supposed to be a good thing? I liked cars better when anyone that knew anything ABOUT MECHANICS  could usually fix their own.  I hate the Boston Tea Party, I hate the fact that no one will work together to try to solve our political problems.  I will take some heat over the last 3 statements and probably more.  Who ever came up with being so disrespectful of our country to parody  president Obama as Hitler, or any president past or present., in a disrespectful way needs to just leave the USA.  I would like to see them try to run this country.  Brake time!!!  I  have been keeping my mouth shut for a surprisingly long time.  There has not been a president in history that has not faced the same type of problems. Maybe I was to busy  working and raising a FAMILY to really remember but I do not think politics have been so vicious.  I am glad I have lived my 80 years and been mostly happy with my life but I would just like to say one more time.

Feeling a bit nostalgic today

I am not sure why but I just feel so strongly that things are just not in order today.  Sound strange to the young ones that Read this but I think it might not sound so unusual to the older ones.  Maybe because I just hear another ambulance in less than a half hour.  Our streets are just so slick but if you are careful you probably will get to your destination in one piece.  One problem, people are driving like maniacs.  It is like they feel they are indestructible.

I am getting desperate I think.  I keep looking for pictures  of anything close to spring  or summer.  I really hope this comes back this summer.  It should.  That is one thing I don’t think we ever had when I was growing up, was flowers.  It seemed like they were not important.  Every effort was put in to the necessary part of life.  My mom was up at 6 every morning to get the wood stove fired up to fix breakfast for the men.  I didn’t realize it but in order for her to get the range hot enough for coffee, oatmeal, pancakes she had to get an early start.   I seem to remember the brothers would wash up in fairly cold water and milk the cows and then come in and wash up in hot water , by then the teakettle was boiling, the reservoir on the range was warming  and the smell of coffee strong in the air.  She would have the oatmeal done and on the side to keep it warm and then you would smell eggs and pancakes .  We had no electricity so we had home made bread and home made butter. I must confess I was not a huge lover of bread except when it first came out of the oven and we girls would tear it apart with the butter bowl handy and eat it while it was so hot it was steaming.  Usually when it came out of the oven in the afternoon and the men were in the field.  So many memories.
